Work in child and adolescent medicine
As a doctor I work with a holistic approach based on a bio-psychosocial outlook that combines both traditions of psychotherapy and school medicine.
Since I am a pediatrician by training I always have the advantage of having insights into possible biological and neurobiological causes of a syndrome and of being able to draw from rich clinical experience in pediatric medicine.
Thus I am able to identify the biological and medical causes of an illness or disorder in cases where others may perhaps have just a "purely psychogenic" background.
Developmental neurology, diagnostics of developmental disorders, more serious developmental disorders (autism, autistic behavioral patters), diagnostics of movement and coordination disorders in infant age (e.g., infantile cerebral paresis) are further areas of my work.
